Description
Overview
The topic of the existence of God is a significant debate in philosophy. You will be studying Does God Exist? [PDF], which covers:
- The Kalam Cosmological Argument.
- The Modal Ontological Argument.
- The Logical Argument From Evil.
- The Probabilistic Argument From Evil.
Consider the opposing positions by:
- Examining two arguments that try to show God exists.
- Examining two arguments that try to show God does not exist.
- Summarize which position you take, and why.
Those who argue for the existence of God normally take one of two approaches. The first is to start with some fact about the world and from it conclude the existence of God. The second is to analyze the concept of God and show that the concept entails the existence of God.
